Hi Everyone, my name is Natasha but my friends and family call me Tasha.  I’m the oldest of four; two sisters and a brother.  I was born and raised in Miami, Florida to a Jamaican mother and a Haitian father.  I lived in France for two and a half years where I learned to read, write, and speak French fluently.  I guess you can say that I am definitely a mixed breed, I have two Beautiful children who are the center of my world.

For those that know me well, know that I have an INTENSE PASSION for Food.  You know the saying some people “Eat to Live, well I Live to Eat.” Ever since I was a little girl I was always fascinated with being in the kitchen and making different dishes.   I would always watch my grandmothers and mother in the kitchen growing up and try and imitate them and help as much as I was allowed.   Adding the different ingredients and making it into a dish that made our kitchen smell like heaven was always a joy and a wonder to me.

As I grew older my love for food only intensified and made me want to learn more about it.  One of my favorite channels to watch is the Food Network Channel and some of my favorite chefs are featured on there such as the Barefoot Contessa with Ina Garten, Giada DeLaurentiis, Paula Deen, Nigella Lawson and many more.

It’s when I became a mother of two that I realized how much it took for my mother and grandmothers to prepare a home cooked meal each and every night.   Having so many other responsibilities such as taking care of the house, bills, kids, and working a full-time job; and still being able to prepare a home cooked meal every night.  It is in that time that I was truly able to appreciate and admire my mother and grandmothers.

I hope you all will enjoy this website.  I will post step-by-step photos of different recipes either I have found through various streams such as internet browsing, researching through cookbooks, cooking magazines, family members, and ones that I made on my own through mere practice.
