A few weeks ago it was my daughter’s 8th birthday. Each year we try different ideas and this year we came up with Pancakes & Pajama theme. Cute eh! Well it was so much fun and so adorable. It definitely allowed me to get creative and do a lot of hands on decorating which I have come to realize I love doing… 🙂
I first had to find a color palette and theme for it… I fell in love with Vera Bradley‘s new Tutti Frutti line, so adorable. When Vera Bradley un-velied her new Tutti Frutti line, she had the help of Kim Stoegbauer of The TomKat Studio. Now what Kim designed this party design for was for a baby shower and not a birthday party. It was so beautiful I knew I had to use it for KK’s birthday party so I changed it up a bit.
That’s when the planning began. Kim had shared Tutti Frutti Printables for Cupcake Flags, Food Labels, Banner, Note Cards and Thank You Flags.
For the birthday invites I downloaded the note cards printable and cut pink construction paper and typed up all of the birthday info, date, address, time, rsvp info and of course a reminder to wear pajamas.
For the big “K” (pictured above) I was able to find one at Jo-ann fabrics and spray painted it silver and found little fans at Hobby Lobby and scrapbook flowers as well.
On to the food portion of the party:
Look at that spread… YUMMY!
Mini Fruit Cups
Scrambled Egg and Cheese Biscuits
Mini Hashbrown Casseroles
Bacon and Sausage
For the Dessert Table:
I made a vanilla buttermilk cake with a buttercream frosting, added a mix of sprinkles and tied colored twine to colored straws (from Hobby Lobby) and glued printable cupcake flags to it.
Vanilla Cake Pops
Chocolate Cake Pops
I bought the goodie bags from Party City and punched the holes in each one and tied colored twine with a Thank You printable label. These goodie bags for each of the girls to leave with a little candy, cake pops, cookies and donut holes. The perfect way to thank your friends at the end of a great party!
when each girl arrived they were greeted with a little fresh homemade lemonade
they all had their own mason jars
Even some of the adults were excited for lemonade, (my silly sister)
The girls made Froot Loop Necklaces, Door Hangars, and Jewlery.
of course we gotta end with presents time…
We had so much fun, comfy, cozy and definitely special!
