CHocolate CHip Cookie Ice Cream SUndaes

There’s something about ice cream sundaes that make me feel like a BIG kid again!

Maybe its the simple easy chocolate chip cookie cups I made in the muffin pan, easy as 1, 2, 3. ¬†Or maybe its scoops of my favorite ice cream on top of my cookie cups drizzled with chocolate fudge shell, then sprinkled with colored jimmies and let’s not forget the cherry!

Whatever it is I’m loving it!

The best thing about these ice cream sundaes are that they are inside a chocolate chip cookie cup — that you can eat — that’s right, you can eat the sundae and the bowl, the whole thing!!!

I bet I got you grinning from ear to ear now! ūüėÄ

To make my life even easier I went the store bought route, with chocolate chip cookie dough.  With the dough I cut it up and rolled into balls, then placed in my muffin tin 2/3 of the way filled.  Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes, until the edges become a nice golden brown color.  I wanted the center to still be soft and not over baked.

Remove from the oven, and press down the center of each cookie with a small spice container. Let the cookie cups cool in the muffin tin for 5-10 minutes, then twist each one out and let it cool completely on a cooking rack.

If your somewhat like me your like, bump the cooling and let’s start a eating! hehehehe…

Here comes the fun part, sundae making time… Using an ice cream scoop, spoon your favorite ice cream in each cookie cup. ¬†Drizzle your toppings and sprinkle on your treats and serve.

The perfect combination of a¬†hot cookie with cold ice cream, yin &¬†yang with the sweet and saltiness… perfect¬†harmony!

Ice Cream Sundaes in Chocolate Chip Cookie Cups

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Yield: serves 8

Combining sweet & salty to make a delicious kid like dessert, Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sundaes!

Ingredients

  • 1 package cookie dough (or favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe)
  • Favorite Ice Cream
  • Optional Toppings:
  • Chocolate Fudge Hard Shell
  • Sprinkles
  • Cherries
  • Caramel Sauce

Directions

  1. Cut up the cookie dough and roll into balls, then place in muffin tin 2/3 of the way filled. Push down and spread in muffin tin. Bake at 350 for 15-18 minutes, until the edges become a nice golden brown color. Make sure cookies are still soft and not over baked.
