fettucinni alfredo

A big bowl of creamy Fettuccine Alfredo is like comfort in a bowl.  This dish is sinfully delicious and can be made in 20 minutes or less. I love creamy pastas.  I love all kinds of pastas but Fettuccine Alfredo is such a classic that you can never turn it away when its made for you.  It’s one of my kids absolute favorite dishes for me to make them.

You can either make this dish meatless or  with chicken, bacon, mushrooms, or veggies. Fettuccine Alfredo is a great way to show how a few ingredients can be the most divine dinner meal ever.

If you don’t believe me then try for yourself.

Fettuccine Alfredo

Cook Time: PT15-20M

Yield: serves 6

Fettuccine Alfredo

  • 1 lb Fettuccine Noodles
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) Butter
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon Grated Nutmeg
  • Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper
  • 1-2 cups Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese

  1. Boil a large pot of water. Cook the pasta according to package directions.
  2. In a large skillet over low heat, melt the butter. Once the butter is melted add the cream. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  3. Turn the fire off and add the Parmesan cheese and mix together.
  4. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet. Toss and pour into a large dish. I love to add more Parmesan but you do not have to. Toss in the pasta, serve and enjoy!
