French Bread Pizza

When you were younger did you ever try Stouffer’s French Bread Pizza?  When I was a kid I remember every time I would walk down the frozen aisle section in the supermarket, I would always beg my mom for us to buy the frozen french bread pizzas.  I don’t know what it was but they just looked so yummy I needed to have one.  Of course then when we moved to France it was so easy to make them ourselves since we would buy french baguettes every day.

I think one of the best things about these french bread pizzas are that they can be made individually or for large crowds.  The choice of toppings that you can add are pretty yummilicious.  I mean you can go the old fashion way with just pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and maybe some pepperoni.  Or you can jazz it up with alfredo sauce, chicken and Parmesan.  The choices are truly endless. Serve these pizzas either straight out the oven or room temperature, either way its delicious! Now let’s start making some French Bread Pizza… 🙂

The BEST Homemade french bread pizza that’s crisp on the bottom and loaded with a variety of toppings. Perfect for individual servings or feeding large crowds!

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large or 4 small french bread loaves
  • Cheese of your choice, I used shredded mozzarella
  • Olive oil
  • Toppings of your choice:
  • I used pizza sauce, pepperoni, parmesan, and sausage crumbles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Slice baguettes in half, lay on baking sheet, and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes so bread can get crispy.
  3. Remove bread, brush the baguette(s) with olive oil.
  4. Add your toppings I sometimes like to sprinkle some Italian seasoning on top of the pizzas before putting back in oven, then place back in the oven for 10 minutes. Broil for 1 minute to get cheese brown and bubbly.
  5. Serve straight out the oven or at room temperature.
