I Shake, You Shake, We All Shake For Milkshakes!

It has been a while since I last had a great over the top milkshake.  I remember the last time, a few years ago, I had a milkshake like that was when my younger brother, Sascha, was working at ColdStone and he made me a Strawberry Milkshake, OH I thought I had died and gone to heaven!

It was that Delicious… or maybe I just hadn’t had one is so long 🙂

While I was thinking and reminiscng about that perfect strawberry milkshake I started to look for some yummy milkshake recipes.

Here are a few milkshake recipes I found! 😉

 Strawberry Milk Shake

 serves 2

 1⁄2 cup cold milk

 2 tbsp. strawberry jam

 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice

 4 scoops strawberry ice cream

 4 scoops strawberry sorbet

 Put milk, jam, and lemon juice into a blender and blend for 10 seconds.  Add  ice cream and sorbet and blend, pausing once or twice to mash the mixture  with a rubber spatula, until mixture is smooth and creamy, about 45 seconds.  Serve in chilled glasses.

 

Vanilla Banana Black & White Milk Shake

makes about 3 1/2 CUPS

1/2 cup cold milk

1 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

1/2 ripe medium banana

1 pint French vanilla ice cream

1/2 pint chocolate ice cream

1/2 pint chocolate sorbet

Put 1/4 cup milk, 1 tsp. vanilla, and banana into a blender and blend until smooth. Add vanilla ice cream and blend, pausing once or twice to mash the mixture with a rubber spatula, until mixture is smooth, about 45 seconds. Pour mixture into a pitcher and set aside in the refrigerator.

Put remaining milk and vanilla extract, along with the chocolate ice cream and sorbet, into a blender and blend, pausing once or twice to mash the mixture with a rubber spatula, until mixture is smooth, about 45 seconds.

Layer vanilla and chocolate shake mixtures in 2 chilled glasses, beginning and ending with vanilla.

 

 Malted Caramel Shake

 makes about 3 1/2 CUPS

 1/2 cup cold milk

 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

 1 tbsp. malted milk powder, such as Horlicks

 4 cups caramel, caramel swirl, or dulce de leche ice cream

 Put milk, vanilla, and malted milk powder into a blender and blend until  combined. Add ice cream and blend, pausing once or twice to mash the  mixture with a rubber spatula, until mixture is smooth and creamy, about 45  seconds. Pour milk shake into 2 chilled glasses.
