Peanut butter-chocolate chip banana bread

A classic, goodie but oldie recipe for all my banana bread, peanut butter, chocolate chip lovers… Peanut butter chocolate chip banana bread.  This recipe is so easy to make it will become a classic for all who have extra bananas ripping on your counters.

They are so many different yummy things you can add in your banana bread.  We have the classic recipe which is always delicious on its own, and when we added brown sugar cream cheese frosting on top of our banana muffins.  Then there’s the time we added nutella swirls, delish! Let’s not forget the time when we added cinnamon sugar swirl in the middle and then on top… Yep. I feel the same way… my mouth is watering!

Peanut butter chocolate chip banana bread

A simple and delicious recipe for a moist banana bread combined with peanut butter and chocolate chips.

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 1 hour 10 minutes
  • Total Time: 1 hour 25 minutes
  • Yield: serves 8-10 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 stick of Butter, softened (room temperature)
  • 1 large Egg, room temperature
  • 3 ripe Bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups of All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • dash of Salt
  • 1/2 cup of Milk
  • 1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour a loaf pan. In a large mixing bowl beat 1 stick of butter and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Add 1 large egg. Mash three ripened bananas, then add them to the sugar and butter mixture.
  2. Next, your dry ingredients. Add 2 cups of all-purpose flour, the baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix all of these ingredients together.
  3. Now for the wet ingredients. Add the 1/2 cup of milk and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and the peanut butter.
  4. Mix in the chocolate chips, of your choice, but I like to use semi sweet chocolate chips.
  5. Bake for 1 hour or until cooked through. Make sure to watch carefully so the top does not burn.
  6. Enjoy!
