APPETIZERS/SIDES, RECIPES

Stuffed Pizza Rolls

These cheesey pizza dough balls are great to make with kids, just add any of your favorite yummy toppings and stuff them into your pizza.  The best part is no utensils are needed at all… talk about easy peasy finger food.  Just grab, dunk in marinara sauce and pop in to your mouth.  It’s that easy!  Since we are a family that just LOVE pizza we decided to stuff them with mozzarella and pepperoni, but you can choose pretty much anything.  These make for great starters to any party and a fun appetizer.  All kids will love them, I know mine did!

Stuffed Pizza Rolls

Ingredients

1 roll refrigerated pizza dough

Marinara or Pizza Sauce

2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon dried Italian Seasoning

Mozzarella cheese

Pizza toppings of your choice: I used pepperoni

Directions

Preheat oven to heat specified on pizza dough package. Usually it’s 400 degrees F.

Unroll your pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. Pat or roll the dough so it’s about 12″ by 8″. Cut the dough into 24 squares.  This perfect for lil ones to help in the kitchen.

Place cheese and your desired toppings on each square.  Make sure not to put the marinara sauce on the dough.  It is simply for dipping.

Just make sure you are able to carefully lift up each square.  Pinch to make sure each ball is sealed shut into a tight ball and then place them seam side down in a lightly sprayed pie pan.

Have you helper brush the tops of the dough balls with olive oil.

Sprinkle Italian seasoning and top with Parmesan cheese.

Cook them in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Serve with marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.

You see the inside how yummy it looks! Perfection…
