Summer is here and the grill is getting fired up. For the last few weeks we have been out of town visiting family in Atlanta but are home now and 4th of July is just around the corner. I love this time of year because I find myself grilling out as much as possible.
I remember as a child every 4th of July we would always spend the day by the pool, with family and friends, fireworks and always lots and lots of Food! This year we were invited to potluck block party in our neighborhood, or what we like to call “the hood,” trust me if you saw the amount of kids that lived in this neighborhood you would be amazed. The kids are so excited to hangout and just act crazy with each other and we are just thankful for having great neighbors.
What is the one most important thong you gotta have with great food, GREAT WINE! That’s where CK Mondavi comes in. CK Mondavi is the perfect 4th of July wine. Not only is it the only wine in this price point to be 100% American made & grown, but a percentage of sales goes to supporting veterans.
CK Mondavi was gracious to send me 4 bottles one of each: 2 whites, Chardonnay and a Blonde Five and 2 reds Cabernet Sauvignon and Scarlet Five.
These wines are the only American made/grown wine in the “supermarket wine under $10” category.
Now that’s my kind of deal, and when your trying to supply wine for a number of people price is everything.
Did you also know, that a percentage of each bottle sold between May – August is donated to Intrepid Fallen Heroes (up to $50,000)! The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF), is an organization that supports the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families. It’s funded entirely by public donations, and IFHF serves U.S. military personnel wounded or killed in service to our nation and their families.
For more information, you can visit www.fallenheroesfund.org. Pretty FANTASTIC!!!!
Also remember each time you purchase a bottle a percentage will be given back to IFHF, The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
