I have never been a real fan of sour cream…. if a recipe calls for the ingredient then sure but on its own with other things never really was a fan.

So I started wondering what can you do with a container of sour cream that is in your refrigerator?

According to our friends over at The Kitchn, they had a few ideas…

1.) Try using the left over in a casserole recipe: like green bean casserole, hash brown casserole, sour cream chicken enchilada casserole, even in a baked macaroni and cheese.

2.) As a dessert topping: the sour taste will be a contrasting to nice bowl of blueberries, raspberries, or any other berries. Try adding some brown sugar to the sourcream.

3.) In a Sauce: adding sour cream can not only add flavor to a sauce but can also add thickness to it.

4.) In a baking recipe: I know a few off hand baking recipes that sour cream can be added to… like chocolate cake, cranberry-sour cream pound cake,

5.) In a dip: Who doesn’t love adding sour cream and a few other great ingredients and dipping some tasty crunchy chips in it.

Do you have any other uses for sour cream… please list them below!
